It was proposed by Maitia Kahu Fowler, and seconded by Hnua AVaja, that the iTemuka Maori eloetors unanimously ' tgree to leave the matter of ' choosing a ■ candidate for the .-'eat I made vacant in. Parliament, by the ; death of the late Mr. C. It. Parata, in ; the hands of Sir James Carroll. What- ' ever candidate he chonsos will be hear'tily supported. This resolution has I teen supported by tho Natives of ; Kaiapoi also.
