TWO TRANSPORTS LOST

DISASTER IN THE MEDITERRANEAN RESCUING DESTROYER ALSO SUNK HEAVY DEATH ROLL (Rec. January 31, 10 p.m.) London, January 30. The Admiralty losses announced in the Houso of Commons last week were the transport Aragon, which was torpedoed and sunk on Decomber 30, and the auxiliary Osni'ameh, .mined and sunk on December 31, both in the same locality of the Eastern Mediterranean. A destroyer (the- loss of which was reported on January 7) was torpedoed and 6iink whilst picking up the Aragon's survivors. It is interesting to note that during the war nine, transports in all have been lost, tho casualties agggregaing two thousand.
