MINING EXAMINATIONS
'A meeting of the Board of Examiners under the Mining Act and Coal Mines Act was held at the offices of the Minos Department on "Wednesday. There were present Messrs. P. 6. Morgan, M.A. (chairman), If. Reed, TV. H. Wilniot, J. Gilmour, H. S. Molineaux, W. Carson, J. C. Brown, J. Bishop, and Professor D. B. Waters. _ The results of the annual examinations of the candidates for mine managers aro as follow:— Under the Coal Mineß Act.—Firstclass Certificates: A. W. Whittlestone, 6. Langford. Partial Pass: T. M'Donald, T. King, M, M'Lean, J. Neilson, W. E. Hewitson, C. Strongman. Sec-and-class Pass: R. ft'. Duncan. Under the Mining Act.—First-class Certificates: 6. W. Lowes. Partial Pass: W. H. Scott. Second-class Cerificates—Partial. Pass: J. J. Birch, kttery Superintendent's Certificate: J. H. Metcalfe. Partial Pass: L. J. Pitching.
