Britain's manhood is being drained in fightto preserve all that wo hold dear. It = is our duty to those who have so bravely "iven their lives that their supremo sacrifice should not lie in vain. For fifty yonr.s Dr. Barnardo's Homes have been doing the work which has been so urged upon lis during this serious war time.- During those fifty years Dr. Barnardo's Homes have taken charge of. 84,000 children— 10 264 Bnrnardo boys are serving m defence or their country. ' Of four Anzacs mentioned in dispatches for.brav-erv'-ai- Gallipoli throe were Barnardo boys. Two of these have since gained the Military Medal. Thirteen in all have won the M.M., and another has gained trn D.S.M. .Since war-broke out, Dr. Barnardo's Homos have admitted id fewer than 5033 boys and girls, aii'l -they want to take chargo of thousand.- moro. • They havo the opportunities and the machinery.
