'At last Dannovirko and district have been favoured with a turn of summer ■weather—and not before it was time (remarks the Dannevirke "News"). During the la3t day or so the heat wave has made itself very much felt, and should be welcome to the farming community. Weather such as has been experienced of late is beneficial for the fattening of stock. There is an abundance of feed, and in a few w.ceks' time stock should be at their - best. Harvesting operations, although still in progress, are now Hearing completion, but cereal crops cut before the heavy rain and left out have been much damaged.
