THIRD WELLINGTON BOARD

CASES HEARD YESTERDAY

The Third Wftllineton Military Service Board continued its sessions yesterday. Mr. J). M. Pindlny presided, and with him were Messrs. M- •>■ Maw and A. O'L. Considino. Lieutenant d'A. S. Gnit represented the military aiitliorities. Tho hoard adjourned sine dm an appeal niado by the Commandant of the Forces for tho exemption of Colonel Jnmes H. C. Robertson (principal medical officer, Featherston). Tho Commandant also appealed tor the exemption of Sergeant-Major Harold W. -Lacey (signalling instructor, Peatherston), David E. Thomas (dental officer, Trentham), and William James Donman (instructor of mounted rifles, Trentham). The hoard adjourned tho oases sine die. A Wellington Harbour Board appeai for Henry O. Turner (assistant engineer) was adjourned sine die. The board adjourned' till April an appeal made by the Patent Slip Co. for David Castiman (assistant Slip forcm Exemption sine die upon the usual conditions was granted Arthur fecott and Percy Y. R. G. Miles (sub-telegrapli j. engineers), for -whom ' the Post and Telegraph Department appealed. The Inspector of Mental Hospitals appealed for William James Turner (attendant, Porirua): The hoard adjourned the case sine die. An adjournment till April was made in the case of John C. Hogan, for whom the Public Trustee, as employer, apThe Wellington Woollen Mills Compamr. claimed that Albert E. Barasden (mill manager, Petone) could not_lie replaced. Tho ease was adjourned for tup production of further evidence. , The board granted a.four month*, adjournment in the cases of Harold It. Nordell and Herbert William P. Taylor (farmers, Pahautamii). Exemption till April 30 iras granted Samuel Copp (shearer), for whom Mr. diaries Grayndler (secretary of the Shearers' Union) appealed. Leave till March was granted Albert Henry Scott, showman, Wellington. The hoard allowed the appea ol Roderick M'Rae (stpreman. Wellington), he being the Inst surviving son of his parents. ..
