CORONER'S VERDICT. . By Telegraph-Press Association; Christchurch, January 29. The inquest touching the death of Eliza Martha. Ashworth, -who died as a result of injuries received in the railTray crossing accident" at Styx on Saturday, was concluded to-day. A verdict was returned to the effect that there was no evidence of negligence on the part of the driver of the engine or the driver of the motor-car (the deceased's husband).- The coroner added a rider drawing the attention of the local body to a live fence obstructing a view of the crossing, and directing that _it should take steps under the ■ Public Works Act to have it removed.
