Special attention in the way of .. . prize money and trophies has been given • to the various sheep and cattle classes. Some of the classes are well endowed with trophies, particularly the Romney Marsh, freezing,sheep. Southdowns, and horses. Entries are said to be coming in freely, and to give promise of excellent competition in all the stock .. sections. The competitions are espect- .. Ed to prove exceptionally interesting. • ■ In the champion jump £50 is given in : r prize money (as well as the .Vallance ' rose bowl, valued at £25), in the " maiden £14, in the leaping competition £17 and the Buick Memorial Cup, and " in the consolation £16. One of the featares of the show will bo the sheep „ dog trial. The horticultural, children's, --'agricultural produce, dairy produce, and home industries are also liberally ' catered for in the matter of prizes.
