SENIOR CADETS
At a muster paretic of the Senior Cadets of 17, 18, and part of 19 area last week there were in all eleven companies on parade, and the attendance was very satisfactory. The inspection was carried out by Major Cortigan, Group Commander, Tho appearance was discounted by tho variety of head gear. Some companies wore slouch hats and others wore field service caps, and others, again, were somewhat nondescript. After tho parade a conference was held with the officers, and steps were taken to rectify the anomaly of head gear, and matters of interest concerning the training of cadets and cadet officers was discussed. i The difficulty of accommodation for lectures was dealt with, and it was finally arranged that a commodious room should be set apart for orderlyroom and lectures. Improvements were made on existing; arrangements for the non. com. classes. Those will be inaugurated on a larger scale of two set nights per week to a syllabus laid down. It was intimated that the officers would be required to attend. Tho officers undertook to report upon tho possibility of a fuller attendance at tho non. com. instructional physical training class under Lieutenant AY. H. Jones, which is held in tho Garrison Hall every alternate Thursday. Stops are being taken to rectify the difficulties under which certain outside companies labour, owing to hall accommodation.
