OCEAN YACHT RACE
lOLANTHE THE WINNER. The annual ocean yacht race of the Port Nicholson Yacht Club was held on Saturday and yesterday in good weather. There were five in tho race—the AVaitangi, Whito Heather, Kotiri, Atalanta, and lolanthe. The course was from Clyde Quay Wharf to Port Underwood and back" to the wharf. Some of the boats struck flat calm patches, and were delayed. Mr. George M'Lean's lolanthe. (last year's winner), again won, her time being llli. 12m. The race started at 2.5 p.m. on Saturday, when Waitangi sailed. The times were as follow: — (1) lolanthe (6h.), returned at 7.17 a.m. yesterday; corrected time, 1.17 a.m. (2) Waitangi (scr.), returned at 1.43 a.m. yesterday. .(3) Atalanta (3}h.), returned at 6.46 a.m.; corrected time, 3.16 a.m. (4) Kotiri (3jh.), returned at 7.10 a.m.; corrected time, 3.40 a.m. (5) White Heather (3h.), returned at 7.45 a.m.; corrected time, 4.4-5 a.m.
