Cargo for those ports will be taken on Monday by tho Rosamond. The Canterbury Shipping Company's Calm will arrive this morning from Wanganui and sail this afternoon for Lyttelton, Dunedin, aud Timaru. The Defender, en route to Hokitika from Wellington, will call at l'fcton and Grey, mouth. Sim is to sail to-night. The John will arrive, to-morrow from lij'ttelton and sail on Monday for Wanganui. She will return tn Wellington on Wednesday to load for Timaru and Duuedin. As the overhaul of the Invercargill is taking longer than was expected, Messrs. Johnston and Co. will dispatch the Blenheim for Wanganui on Monday afternoon. The Wellington Steam Ship Company's Huia is advertised to sail on Monday atternoon, direct for New Plymouth. The Rosamond, which will sail on Monday night for Napier and Gisborne will roturn to Wellington to load for Dnncdin. Tho llinemoa arrived at Kussell on Thursday afternoon and left yesterday morning for Whangaroa, to overhaul buoys and beacons. She will afterwards nail for Awauui. A number of neople interested in shipping and the fishing industry gathered on Wednesday afternoon at Miller Bros.' slip, nt I hi! dockhead, Lyttelton, to witness the launching o[ the new motor trawler Ronn,' built locally for Tiiheraln Moo, of Wellington, says the "Press." The christening ceremony was performed by Mrs. A. Miller, and refreshments were provided in the boatshod by the owner.
