Norwood, J. 0. Shorland, M. F. Luckie, L. M'Kenzie, A. Veitch, A. 11. Atkinson, AV. H. Bennett, J. Godber, G. Frost, and AV. H. P. Barber. It was decided that a four-inch water main bo laid from Queen's Drive along Tavistock Road to a point in Buckingham Street in view of the present inadequate water supply at tho south end of the latter street. Application is to he made for the exemption of a- portion of Moxham Avenue from the provisions of Section U7 of the Public AVorks Act, 1908, subject to the condition that no' building shall be erected within ton feet of the original western boundary of tho avenue. A proposal of the AYcllington Collego Governors to leave as footpath a portion of their land at the corner of Tory and Vivian Strcots was accepted. A letter of thanks is to bo forwarded _to tlie College Governors for their action in this matter. The council accepted a dedication ot two pieces of land at Todman Street, Brooklyn, and will construct a footpath and guard-rail. In the opinion of the City Engineer, this will enable Todman Street to be permanently _ located in the most satisfactory position. Permission was granted to an owner of property at Rata Road, Hataitai. to enclose a portion of the unformed road reserve at such street, upon payment of a rental. The council adhered to the terras of their previous decision not to permit a property owner to enclose a portion of the road reserve at Tirangi Road, South Kilbirnie, but will allow tho person concerned to plant shrubs and sow grass on the land in question, without the erection of a fence. The rentals of three encroachments at Rata Road, Hataitai, were fixed at 10s. each.
