DISOBEDIENT RESERVISTS
.."-■' iCAUSE A' DEADLOCK. ' By Telosrapli-Prcsit Association. : Christohurch, January 23. A diiculty has arisen ui connection with two reservists, Charles E. Warden and Arthur Burrows, found guilty or refusing to obey the commands or a superior officer and declining to submit to medical examination. The courtmartial passed sentence, but Colonel Chaffey cannot confirm it until he is satisfied by the medical authorities that the prisoners are fit to undergo punishment.. As the men refused to be examined, a deadlock- has occurred, lfc is possible the position will be submitted o headquarters at Wellington Later.
Charles E. Warden and Arthur Burrows, who wore found guilty by courtmartial of refusing to obey the lawful commands of their superior officer were sentenced each to twelve months hard labour.
