MEETING OF WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION
A meeting of the. Wellington Cricket Associntion was hr Id last night, Mr. C. G. Wilson presiding. It was decided that only junior and third class matches should be played next Saturday owing to the absence of the representatives in Auckland It was resolved, however, that a mitcii bo arranged between a soldiers' team from the camps and the next best Wellington team. Play will commence at 1.30, if possible. Mr. C. G. Wilson was appointed manage!' of the team to go to Auckland It is not certain vet whether the team will leave on Thursday or Friday. Mr. D. M'Kenzie was appointed to umpire the match. The secretary was directed to write lettarb to those friends of the association who had billeted members of the Canterbury team. The manager was empowered to invite an Auckland team to play a match in Wellington, the proceeds to hi given to the Auckland Cricket Association to assist them with their Eden Park fund. The senior fixtures for the following Saturday were also drawn:— Returned Soldiers v. East, at No. 2 Basin. J?:. Trentham v. Petone, at No. 3 Basin. Old Boys v. North, at No. 1 Basin. I
