DEFENCE EXPENDITURE
THE COMMISSION OF INQUIRY. By Tolegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, January 22. Sir James Allen stated to-night that the Defence Expenditure Commission will- begin its labours immediately on the arrival of Brigadier-General Anderson in Wellington. Whether the Commission will remain in Wellington/ altogether or visit other centres the Minister could not say.
