4 . DISTRICT REPORTS. (From Our Special Correspondents.) Foatherston, January 22.-Fine; ciear Maaterton, January 22,-Fine and Ir'ght. There was a special military parade at the Drill Hall, Dunedin, on Saturday, when medals were presented to the next-of-kin of four soldiers who had distinguished themselves and had afterwards given their lives for their country. They were tho Military Medals won by Lance-Corporal EUis Ishp, New Zealand Rifle Battalion, and by Sergeant R. J. Murdoch, who was a member of the Canterbury Mounted Rifles with the Second Reinforcements, and tho Distinguished Conduct Medals won by Corporal Alfred Andrews and Private Swan.
