Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Lid., report:—We held our weekly sale at Carterton on Friday, when we submitted a. fair yarding of cheep, and cattle to a large, attendance of farmer. The sheep offered were mostly of an inferior class, but we succeeded in making a. total clearance at the following prices:—Sheep: .Lambs, 6s. fid.. 10s. 7d., 14s. 6d., to 17r. 6(1.: cull ewes, 7s. Id.: small mixed 2-tooths, 21s. ■ Cattle: 18-month steers. £6 45.; 2-year steers. £9 Is.; fat heifers, £9 65.: fat cows, £9 16s.
