The Turco-German battle-cruiser Gooben and tho cruiser Breslau, notorious for their escapo from the Mediterranean into Turkish waters in the early days of the war, havo been engaged by a British naval force in the Dardanelles, the Breslau being sunk, and the Goeben driven ashore in a damaged condition.
