Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report on their fortnightly sale at Wanganui:—A small yarding of sheep anl a heavy one of cattle was submitted to a good attendance of buyers. Competition for shc"op was slack, and the bulk of thb yarding was passed, "'he yarding of cattle mainly consisted of the anDual draft of Mr. H. Y. Hammond's Lismore Station, which consisted of about 660 head of good quality cattle, and which came forward in very good order. Competition was fairly good for tho first line submitted, a pen of 50 fat co-.vs, whici realised tho very satisfactory price of £14 15s. Tho tops of Mr. Hammond's Hereford bullocks brought £17 7e., and a pen o( 50 Shorthorn bullucks realised £15 6s. Although many pens failed to make vendors' reserves, a large proportion of tho entry changed hands. Messrs. Wright. iStephensoii and Oα, Ltd., report:—We held our monthly eule at ijartinborougii on Thursday, when we submitted a fair yarding of sheep and cattle. Owing to other sales being held in the district on that day. the attendance was not large,-but we succeeded in disposing of most of the sheep yarded, but several lines of cattle were passed.
