Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having a small entry of sheep and a very fair yarding of cattle at their Taihape sale on Wednesday. Bidding was not at all keen, and several lines went out unsold. Quotations Sheep —Mixed woolly lambs. 12s. 3d. CattleMixed weaners, £2 55., £2 95.; mixed 18months cattle, £7 45.; empty cows, £7 55., £7 19b. 6d.; fifteen-months steers, £6 165.; dairy cows, £7, £7 155., £8 55., £8 10s., £9; fat cows, £10 18s. A horse donated by Mr. George A. Wheeler. Taoroa, to the Taihape Women's Working Club realised £11. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their Levin sale on Tuesday, when they oflered a fair yarding of cattle. They quote;— Fat coirs, £9 15s. to £12 10s.; forward cows, to £9; empty store cows, to £7; cows with oalves. to £8 10s.; yearling st«aip. to £6 18s.; ra.s. weaners, to £2 10s.; potter bulls, £12. £14 65., to £17 2s. 6d. At Otaki on Wednesday, there was a fair demand for cattle. Prices realised were;— Fat cows, £10 6s. to £12;, forward cows, to £9; storo cows, to £7 55.; two-year steers, to £8 195.; yearling Hteers (bad colours), £5 55.; vealers, to £3 12s. 6d.; m.s. weaners, to 455.; potter bulls, to £13. At Waikanae on Thursday a good yarding of grown steers was oflered, but wont out unsold. Lieht fat cows fetched £9 to £10 65.; yearling steers, £4 sa. to £6; weaners. to £2 10s.
