THE RINK CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, January 18. The bowling tournament rink championship contests were continued today. In Section 3 Gray (Xelburn) and Casey (Ponsonby) played off, tho latter winning by 16 to 14. Smellie (Green Island) 20, beat Watts 13, and the latter is now out of the finals. In the semi-finals Walker (Ponsonby) met Smith (Otago) and a very even game resulted. Smith went ahead at tho start and the game reached 13 to 8. Smith stuck on the devil's number for a time, but when Walker reached 11 ho scored one and finally won by 17 to 15. Casey then met Smellie and had the better of the play, winning by 20 to L 5.
The pairs competition will be continued to-morrow. Parsons (Ponsonby) and AVoolf (United) will meet and the winner will meet Brown (United) in the semi-final in the afternoon._ The winner of the latter match is to meet Harraway (Dunedin) in the final.
