SUMMER TRAINING SCHOOL.

\ ? Y.M.C.A. CONFERENCE PLANNED. Arrangements, tentative only as to date, have been made for a conferenco and training camp in connection with the New Zealand Y.M.C.A. to he held on a. property of Mr. W.- H. George, near Silverstream. A number of gentlemen prominent in the business world of tho Dominion as well as in the work of the Y.M.C.A. arc expected to bo present, and a largo number of subjects have been set down for discussion. conference is to occupy five days, and the camp location will offer facilities for recreation. Living accommodation is being provided by Mr. George, who is an active supporter of the association and a of the executive of the National Committee of the organisation. A variety of subjects has been set down for discussion by Captain AY. H. Pettifc of New Zealand Medical Corps; tho Rev. R. S. Gray, secretary of the Baptist Union at Dunedin; Mr. W. E. Busli, City Engineer of Auckland and president of tho Auckland Y.M.C.A.; tho Hon. Geo. W. Fowlds, a member of the National Executive of the Y.M.C.A.; Mr. W. 11. George, member of the National Executive; Mr. John I. Royds, vice-chairman, Christchurch Y.M.C.A.; Mr. H. W. Kcrsley, chairman, Wellington Y.M.C.A.; Messrs. C. M. Luke and J. M'Eldowney, members of tho Wellington Executive; Mr. E. C. Brownell, general national secretary of the association for New Zealand; Mr. A. Varney, national secretary, and many others prominent in the Dominion in work under the Red Triangle. During the period of the conference meetings will be held of tho National Committee (annual) and of the National War Council, while opportunity will be taken for full discussion of the approaching Red Triangle Day appeal in connection with the war work of the association. . Among other questions to he considered are the foreign and religious work of the organisation, and its fundamentals and policies, local problem's, and physical and boys' work.
