FROZEN MEAT MARKET.
Messrs. uiloeit Anderson and Uo. (Messrs. llnlisup, hlioit aucl Go.,' I'almeraton North, locul agents), report on Uie l'ruexn meat market, under date London, October 26, as follows:— For tne first time since the Government took over the control of colonial supplies Velcases were withheld from distributing agents this week, without auy warning to enable the trade to make other arrangements. This ill-advised action was taken in view of liberal killings of Homegrown beef, but it has resulted in the utter dislocation of the businesses of those retailers who are entirely dependent on colonial meat to fullll their lamb requirements. They arc thus l'orccd into the Homegrown mutton and lamb market, which is already far too short in supply where they are luoky if thoy obtain the lowest quality meat at the maximum price.
