[ THEDOMINION TOURNAMENT RINKS IN THE SEMI-FINALS By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, January 16. Tho rink coni])etitions at the "'.Dominion Bowling Tournament wero continued to-day under perfect bowling conditions. The matches had an important bearing on the result, as they determined the section winners. All having seven wins or over out of the nine games qualify to take part in the semi-finals to be entered upon to-mor-roiv. These will be played on the "sudden, death" principle, any rink Iwaten dropping out till the winner is found. To-day's play left tho record as follows: —
Section A.—Johnson (Dunedin), Wylio (To Hhvi), and Eraser (United) have each 7 wins and 2 losses. Smith (Gisborno) and Haldnne (Nelson) havo each 6 wins and 3 losses. Section B.—Noble (Newtown) and Watts (Otago) havo 7 wins and 2 losses each, and Cormac (Caledonian) Kis 6 wins and 3 losses.
Section : C.—Fastier (Cavershani), and Smcllie (Green Island) have 7 wins and .2 losses each, and Parker (Auckland) has 6 wins and 3 losses. ' Section D.—Casey (Ponsonby) has.B wins and I loss, and Cameron- \St. Kilda)and Wilson (Auckland) have 6 wins and 3 losses each. Section E.—Colvillo (Edgeware) lias S wins and 1 loss. Dall (Dunedin), Foster (Caledonian), and Wylie (Kaiapoiy have G wins and 3 losses each. _ " Section' F.—AValker (Ponsonby) is the only unbeaten rink in the competition. Bailey (Hataitai) has 7 wins and 2 losses,-and Ha in (North End) and Calder (Phoenix) have 6 wins and 3 losses each.
Section G.—Smith (Otago) has 7 wins and 2 losses, and Magnus (Wellington) and Millar-(Park) have 6 wins and 3 losses each. Section H—Gray (Kelhurn) has / wins- and 2 losses, and Smart (Stratford;, Gillies (Dunedin), and Macdougall (Christchurch) .have G wins and 3 losses each.
.Hataitai teams for Saturday will be: Against. Wellington: At AVellington—Wilson, M'Greftor, Roberts, G. -Hendry (s.); Huggins, Matthews, . Ardell, Newton (s.). At Hataitai— Dowliug, Buckmaster, Anstey, T. .Ward (s.); Blick, Ridley, Jones,. Cheesman (s.). Agninst Karori: At Karori—Edwards, Shownoy, Townsend, Julius (s.). At Hataitai—Renner, Pritchard, M'Eldowney, Shepherd (s.); Hnlse, Gibson, Stoiiehanks, Halliday (s.). Juniors, v. Island Bay, al Island Bay— lleay, Little, Purnell, Brown (s.).
