Tlioy dropped four hundred bombs on a largo ammunition dump near Roulers, and on billets and hutments, and the railway junction. Our air force ir.ado a most successful raid in Germany in daylight, against tho railway station and manufactories in Karlsruhe, in the- Rhine Viilloy. They dropped one and a quarter tons of bombs with excellent results. • THE BREAKDOWN AT CAMBRAI HIGHER COMMAND ABSOLVED FROM BLAME. (Hoc. January 16, 10.15 p.m.London, January lo Mr. Bonar Law, speaking in the House>of Commons, stated thai the War Cabinet's inquiry showed that the Higher Command was not surprised by the German attack on Cambrai on November 30, and had made adequate dispositions to meet it. Cabinet, however, considered that it would be detrimental to the public intorest publicly to discuss the breakdown.
