SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES

ANNUAL EXAMINATIONS

Following is a list of the candidates in Wellington and contiguous education districts, who, in the Junior National Scholarship Examination, reached the general standard of qualification for a scholarship (63J per cent.). To those wlio are eligible- in other respects scholarships will be awarded by the- education boards. Beference is made to candidates who claim the advantage of Clause 4 of the regulations. These are pupils from schools in which there is only one teacher, and in consideration of the less attention which a pupil must receive at such a school an allowance of ten per cent, in given to such candidates. They may receive scholarships after having gained 53-J per cent, of the possible marks.
