RIFLE SHOOTING
On Saturday morning the day looked anything but promising for an afternoon's rifle shooting, consequently some of the fine-weather shots were nervous about venturing out. There were some "sports," however, who were too enthusiastic to allow a little moisture to damp their ardour, and these had the satisfaction of a line r-f----ternoon and a very enjoyablo match. Members of tho Karori and Old Navals' Club picked a combined team and fired a match with the Suburbs Club. Other memhers indulged in a practice match. The combined team were successful in defeating Suburbs Club by 21 points. Following are the scores: — Combined Team. 600 700 yds. yds. Tl. F. China •■ 44 23 73 J. Babe 22 , 2-5 67 A.
