GERMAN BARRED ZONE EXTENDED
PERIOD OF GRACE ALLOWED NEUTRAL SHIPS. ■ (Rec. January 10, 8.10 p.m.) Amsterdam, January 9. The "Nordeu Tacho" anounces a fresh extension of the German barred zone. It concerns the hostile bases on Cape Verde Islands and Bade Dakar (?) in the adjoining coastal region, also tho barred zone at the-Azores, which has been extended to Madeira. Neutral vessels at present in harbour in the zono will not be attacked if they proceed to tho free sea by the shortest route by January 18. A sufficient period of grace will be allowed neutral ships who outer the zone without knowing tho extension.—Router.
