FOUND DROWNED,
..By Telegraph-Press Association. Creymouth, January 9. The body of a middle-aged man was found in a lagoon to-day. His personal effects indicate that the deceased was Charles Henry Sargison, a discharged soldier, 43 years of age. It is believed that be.liad a brother at Pleasant Point. '
FOUND DEAD.
Christchurch , January 9. Charles Pearce, aged 00 years, was found dead near his home at Sockburn this morning. There is nothing to indicate the cause of death. An inquest will be held this afternoon into the circumstances attending the death of Charles Kingan, a horse trainer, Trentham, who died at the Wellington Hospital on Tuesday night from injuries received in a fall. Satisfactory progress is reported by the Hospital authorities respecting tho lad Johnston, who, while playing with his sister at his home in Piiekaltanki, accidentally pushed his hand through the glass of a door and received somo severe cuts about the arm.
