BOLSHEVIKI FIGHTING GERMAN IMPERIALISM
GERMAN INTERPRETATION OF SELF-DEFINITION BRINGS DISILLUSIONMENT
PREPARATIONS TO CONTINUE THE WAR
London, January S. The Petrograd correspondent of the "Daily Express" writes: "The Bolslieviki seem to have made up their minds to bludgeon right and left. Having disposed of the Allied Governments, whose Ambassadors are on the point of departing, they aro now engaged in a standing fight with German imperialism. Trotskv recoils in tragic disillusionment from tlio German interpretation of self-definition. He will probably, follow Kerensky's example and oppeal to the Army, whicli, in spite of its terrible disorganisation, remains 'ova! to the new democracy. Tt is a humiliating position for a publicist. It is I'clieved that tho Bolshcviki, goaded to the last verge of desperation by the Teuton tactics, are preparing to continue tho war in the event of failure to secure a peaco 1 ased on democratic principles."—Aus.-N.Z.
