Yesterday was a hot, muggy day, with an oppressiveness in the atmosphero that presaged rain. And the rain camo in tho still small hours or tho dark before tho dawn. Present indications arc for moderate to strong easterlies,. backing to northerlies elsewhere. Wo aro to expect warm and hazy conditions, with increasingcloudinoss generally, and rain following m many parts. •
