In the course of a year the Magistrate's Court in the city does a.biS volume of business, both on the tivi and criminal side. Last year 4486 civil plaints were dealt with, tlio amount sued for totalling £"3,034 Is. 3d., tho quarterly figures being as under:— No. of , Amount.
