CLASS A MEN ON JANUARY 15.
A Gazette Extraordinary calling up the remaining members of Class" A of the Second Division (married men without children) will be issued on January 15. Two ballots havo been taken in this class, 5000 names being drawn on each occasion. About 3800 men remain in the class. The Gazette will contain also the names of about 600 First Division men who. have become available during recent weeks. They consist for the most part of youths who have attained the age of 20 years.
The married men who are called up this month will be liable to bo taken into camp during the period April 30 to May 4, but it appears certain that they will not be required before June. Tho dates havo still to be fixed definitely, but tho recruiting authorities havo indicated that the first batch of Class A men will not bo required to mobilise bofore April or May.
