DEFENCE EXPENDITURE COMMISSION
The Defence Expenditure Commission is still incomplete. In consequence of tho inability of Mr.'Justice Stringer to become chairman of tliis commission, the Government has offered the appointment to another gentleman. His reply has not been received. It appears, that in any case it will > be impossible now for the commission to begin its work before the end of this, month.
