IMPRESSIVE FUNERAL OF 'A BOY SCOUT. An impreesive ceremony took place yesterday at Karori Cemetery, tvlicn the body of the late Sergeant Erio Boyes, of tho Northland foop of Boy Scouts was laid to rest. The deceased, who died from injuries received from a pea-rifle while in camp at AVaikanae, was well-known in the district. Some 80 Scouts, undor Scoutmasters Macdonald and' Donkin, headed the procession, inarching to the beat of muffled drums. Patrol leaders of the Kelburn troop carried the casket, which was covered with the Union Jack. A largo number of mourners followed tho remains to the cemetery, where the service was conducted by the Rev. Mr. Kcndrick. After the committal, the bugler sounded "The Last Post," the wailing sounds of which left few listeners uiimoved. The deceased, who wae a resident of Northland, was in liis sixteenth year.
