Following are the results of recent competitions ilown under the auspices of the Mutt Valley Homing I'igcou Society :—
lluesell (Championship), 420 miles.— G. Whitehead's Juno, velocity 580 yds., 1; AV. and L. Uooth'ts Destroyer, 580 vds., 2; W. J. Smith's Black Boss, 579yd5., 3; E. M. Mason's Blue and White, 403 yds., d. Parenga, 487 miles.—W. and L. Booth's Wilderness, velocity, 263yd5., 1. This was the only bird to arrive within the time limit. Lyttelton, one-bjrd flock, 201 miles. —AV. and L. Booth's Gem, velocity 538 yds., 1; G. Whitehead's Native Rose, 530 yds., 2; AV. Smith's Curiosity, 523yd5., 3; E. M'Mahon's Fiery Cross., 481 yds., 4. Timaru, 290 miles—AV. and L. Booth's Gem, velocity, 806 yds., 1; G. Whitehead's Monitor, 735yd5., 2; E. M'Mahon's Exchange, 730 yds., 3. Dimedin, 390 miles.—AV. and L. Booth's Gem, velocity 523yd5., 1; J. Wliitehead's Nor'-west ?• These were the only birds homo within the time limit. Lyttelton (interval), 201 miles.—AV. and L. Booth's Distance, velocity 936 yds., 1; AV. J. Smith's Curiosity, 723 yds., 2; E. M'Mahon's Exchango, 418 yds., 3.
