ENEMY RAIDERS DRIVEN OFF BOMBING RAIDS BY BRITISH AIRMEN London, January 3. Sir Douglas Haig reports:—"The enemy attempted a raid m the neighbourhood .of Oppy, but was driven off before reaching our trenches. His artillery is active in the neighbourhood of Yprcs-Comines Canal. Our aeroplanes on Tuesday dropped two hundred bombs on an ammunition depot near Courtrai, an aerodromo at Ingelmunstor, and other targets."—Aus.N.Z. Cable 'Assn.-Reuter." ON THE FRENCH FRONT London, January 3. A 'Trench communique states: —' "There is considerable artillery'activity on the sectors of Beaumont and the Caurieros Wood."—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.-Reuter.
