REORGANISING THE MILITARY DEPARTMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedln, January 4. Sir James Allen (Defence Minister) gave particulars to-day of. the New Zealand Military Department of the Y.M.C.A., which had been authorised '- for' duty. with? the ■ Expeditionary ' Forces.. The department would' be organised: in three sections. No;lin ■' France, No. 2 in England, and No. 3 in Egypt. , They would be administered by the New Zealand. Y.M.C.A. Commissioner in' London. The No. 1 . section, would consist of one field sec- , .rotary, one. assistant field secretary, \ 15 secretaries, .and 51 attached private . 'soldiers.' No. 2 . section would - con.sist of one" commissioner, one super-' V~ '.vising'- secretary,. ofie '. assistant • secref- tary, .five: patrol secretaries,.' 14 ;'field "'.'.'. secretaries, and 51 attached private soldiers.. No; 3 section would consist of five secretaries. In addition there \yould bo'five patrol secretaries for ' street work, guides, hospital duties, etc.. At Hornchurch. there would be eleven orderlies for the canteens and relays, and two instructors and ordinary "orderlies for thahut at Brockton, ■'' two hut orderlies and four men in relays of two for the big hut, and two for the small hut at Torquay, with three orderlies for each of the thrtfe buildings. .-- ■
