TECHNICAL SCHOOL TEACHERS' CONFERENCE
A conference of representatives to the teaching staffs of the technical schools in New Zealand was opened yesterday, when the president; Mr. P. Neve, M.A V delivered an interesting address (winch appears in another column), . on the co-relation bf technical education and industry as an essential factor of national efficiency. Subsequently a deputation from the conference interviewed the Public School Teachers' Conference on the question of amalgamation of the three representative bodies of teachers — primary, secondary, and technical. Tile matter will be further dealt with at today's sitting of the Teachers' Conference.
