CONTROL OF WOOL
TONNAGE DIFFICULTY WILL NOT END WITH THE "WAlt. London, January 2. A deputation from tho Wool and Textile Association waited on Sir Albert Stanley, President of tho Board of Trade, respecting the Imports and Exports Control Bill, asking that the control of wool should not be continued for a period of three years after the war. It was suggested that the term should be six or twelvo months, with an extension if necessary. , ' Sir Albert Stanley replied that the Government was not wedded to the three-year period, but the tonnage duticulty would not end with the war.— Aus.-N.Z.
