Although a necessary vigilance obscures the details, it is known tiiajt America is coming into the war with a swift, quiet, and unchccketl swing. Troops are being convoyed continuously across the Atlantic in varying n ambers of ships of overy desuription, baffling tile submarines, with which there is ceaseless warfare. Thousands of craft aro hunting the submarines, which have been ordered to accept extreme risks in attacking. It is reported that German shipyards are building; at the highest pressure more powerful submarines to attack tho troopships. American training and aerial preparations in France aro nssuming a great scale. —United Service.
