SOLDIER JUDGES IN FRANCE
Thd French Chamber of Deputies lias passed a. notable law relating to tho composition of courts-martial. . In future two common sailors and two soldiers will sit on the Courts, which have seven membors, to try cases where accused are not officers. Sailors will not try men belonging to the samo corps as themselves, nor will soldier judges be chosen from units in the same locality as the accused. The Minister of Marine and Under-Secretary for War raised objections, hut tbe Chamber insisted on carrying the proposal.
