An elderly Maori man named Ponoko died at Palmerston Hospital last night as. the result of a motoT-cycle with a side-ear running over a bank on Mount Stewart, near Sandon. The man sustained a fractured skull. Miss "Marguerite," a performer with Barton's Circus, who sustained some injury from an accident during the performance of her turn at Barton's Circus on Wednesday afternoon, is now making rapid progress towards recovery. _____
