LAMBING PERCENTAGES
THE OFFICIAL ESTIMATES: The December number of tbo official ''Abstract, of .Statistics" contains the estimates'of .tho'. Agricultural Depart-' ment'regarding-, 7 thifl season's lambs. Last, month's issue of tho "Abstract" contained information as to tho estimated number of lambs dropped in the North Island for tho season 1917-18, figures'for tho two years immediately preceding also being given, together with :,iho actual numbor of lambs' tailas disclosed by tho annual collection of agricultural and pastoral statistics'for those years. Attention was drawn to the close correspondence between the estimates and tho a6certained figures. The estimates of the Department of 'Agriculture are now available for tho South Island for the current season, nud similar information to that published last, month for the North Island is given for tho South Island and for the Dominion as a -whole.
