NEW ZEALAND TROOPS
PRIME MINISTER'S MESSAGE ON BEHALF OF THE CITIZENS. The following message has been seni to tho New Zealand_ troops at tha front by tho Prime Minister, ilt. Hon. \V. F Massey: — Another Christmas comes round and finds the British Empire still fighting with inflexible determination against the foes of liberty and civilisation. To the officers, noncommissioned officers, and men of the Now Zealaud Expeditionary Force, I send, on behalf of the citizens of the Dominion, our heartiest greetings and sjood wishes, and again assure t/iem' that our hearts and thoughts are with them wherever their duty culls them. We rejoice with them in their successes and mourn with them in their losses. Although tho end of tho war is not yet :n sight, we look with a just prido on tho great deeds that have been dono by our soldiers on the bottlefields, and from theso we take courage for the future, looking foiward with calm confidence -.o the victory which must come.
