Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limilcd, report, on their sale at the Xorsewooil yards on Monday. :-Th6te was a lair yarding of stock and also a fair number of buyers. The prices wer6-'a bit easy, but the great number of buyers met tlio market, and ire sold everything under the liqtnmer. W« quote as foliowaCattlo: Pat, cova, £11; oowb in forward condition, from £9 ss. to £9 lis.; 2-year Jersey heifer's, £S: dairy cows, up to £12 6b. ; 18month Jersey steers, SA-, medium draft gelding. £19. The same firm • also report having sold at tho Ormondvillc yards on December 19, a big yarding of cattle, all the cattle pens being filled, and a number of the sheep pens. There was a fair attendance, but the competition was not very keen. The firm sold a few peiiß under the hammer, and a few lota changcd hands after the sale at satisfactory prices. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd>, Stock Department, reporto having lield their..fortnightly sale at Martinborough on Thursday, when a fall l entry of. sheep and cattle was yarded, and submitted to a small attendance. Competiton at auction was not keen, and one or two lines failed to reach vendors' reserves; nevertheless,. the firm' report a satisfactory sale. Following are tho quotations M and 6-tooth wethers, 1 Ma. Id.; 2-tooth wethers, 245. 7d.; fat ewes and wethers (small lot), 315.; well-grown S.H. 2-year empty huifers, £11.
