TWO DESPERATE ATTEMPTS REPULSED London, December 19. • An Italian official mossago states:—"Tho enemy launched attacks from the north-east and tho north against the Solarolo salient. Tho French and Italian artillery broke up the former. A division of German Jaeger carried 1 out tho latter, which failed after a desperate struggle."—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.-Reuter. (Rcc. An Italian official report states:—"After violent efforts to advance southwards from the Col Caprilo to Mount l'ertica, the enemy only succeeded in gaining advantages at Mount Casalonc. (Reci December 20, 7.50 p.m.) i London, December 13. ; A German official report states"The Austro-Hungarians stormed Mont Casalone and the adjoining positions, and took over two thousand prisoners.
