CHRISTCHURCH-LYTTELTON TRAIN SERVICE

A largely attended deputation waited on Sir Joseph Ward to-day, urging the reinstatement of the train service between Christchuroh. and Lyttelion. Speakers, representing tho whole province, placed the position before the Minister, who said no would placo their views before tho Minister of Railways, to consider whether he could not givo Christchuroh a permanent 9.45 p.m. train.
