' The annual cricket match between Wellington and Wnngamii Colleges was begun on the Wellington College ground yesterday. Wellington batted first, and made 109. Wanganui commenced their innings late in the afternoon, and when stumps were drawn they had scored 58 runs for the loss of three wickets. Details of the play follow :— Wellington.—First Innings. The selection has been made from those only who have notified that they aro able to make' the trip. .
BOYS , LEACUE. SENIOR REPRESENTATIVE TEAM. In vievt , of the forthroming match in Christchurch the following have beon selected to practice on Andersons Park duringthis week: Donnelly (Kilbirnie), Bolt, Turvey, Charles, Hutchings, Hester (St. Cuthbert's), Prince, Sol way, L. Smith, Murray (Institute), Faber (St. Thomas's), O'Neill, Morgan, Dalrymple, Bramley. Freeman, Tilley (Thomdon). The final selection will be made later on in the week. Anyone of the above not able to make the trip is requested to notify Mr. Ross, of the Boys' Institute, at once.

The Heathcote Williams Shield cricket match was won by Auckland Grammar School by seven -wickets i\nd two runs, "ftie second innings scores were: Christchurch Higli School) 179 (Rees 54, Bowes 27); Auckland Grammar School 91 for three wickets. Bowling for the Grammar School, M'Leod took seven wickets for 83 runs, and Nixon three for 76. A cricket match Tvas played at Masterton on Saturday between a Masterton team and representatives of the Thirty-fourth .Specialists, the lattor suffering defeat by 96 runs. Ono of the Masterton players, D. B. Gunn, retired affer scoring I(J2 runs.
