BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING. The Pctone Borough Council last evening held its regular meeting. The Mayor (Mr. J. W. M'Ewan) presided, and present were: Councillors «.'. Cox, J. Cliurchoiise, J. Foster, W. 'f'Dougall. D. M'Kenzie, and R. H. Jones. The council granted permission for the holding of a picture show in the boroucli on Christmas Day, provided that the programmo was approved. The council decided to purchase books mentioned in the list when any more should bo required.
